Holiday at Home

HAH Harvest 22 edited

As part of our programme of activities for the Older generation we run a number of events that fall under the umbrella of Holiday at Home.  These consist of four half-days of activities intended to brighten up winter or to focus in on the Christian calendar of Easter, Harvest and Christmas.

We also run a week of activities usually in the third week of June where those that attend can enjoy hot food, games, craft, quizzes, a guest speaker or two, singing and similar along a different theme each year.  These have included a Tour of Britain, Summertime Fun, A life on the ocean wave and Oh I do like to be…

Along with celebrating together, meeting new people, sharing in fun and fellowship and learning new things or enjoying moments from the past there is always a thought for the day during which we also have the opportunity to sing a few hymns and say thank you to God.  A day out is usually enjoyed on the Friday and our time together finishes on the Sunday with a Songs of Praise followed by a cream tea.
